A top Civis priority is safeguarding our clients’ data. Therefore, we ask your understanding with this account recovery process, which will err on the side of restricting access rather than granting.
The Civis Platform login security standard is two factor authentication (2FA), which requires a password and either a phone text or Google Authenticator 2FA code for user login.
If a password reset is required, simply click the “Forgot your password?” link on the login screen.
If a 2FA change is needed, a request for change must be sent via business email on record of an authorized User Account Administrator for your company to firstname.lastname@example.org. Examples include but are not limited to unavailability of 2FA text or Google Authenticator devices or 2FA switch to new phone number. No account recovery will be done unless requested by an authorized User Account Administrator.
With receipt of account recovery request from authorized User Account Administrator, Civis will either change the phone number or generate a new Google Authenticator code for the account requested. 2FA can also be turned off for an account, but Civis strongly discourages this practice, even if temporary.
